Company 5
Founded in 1952 as the Paramus Rescue Squad, Company 5 has a long tradition of technical rescue excellence and emergency service. Known for its award-winning extrication teams and specialized rescue capabilities, the squad became Paramus Fire Company 5 in 2025, continuing its mission of protecting the community through highly trained rescue and fire service operations.
Rescue 7
Rescue 7 is a 2015 Custom Spartan rescue apparatus designed for technical rescue and specialized emergency operations. Equipped with rope rescue systems, a winch, a 250-gallon decontamination tank, a cascade air system, and both hydraulic and battery-powered extrication tools, Rescue 7 provides firefighters with the equipment needed to handle vehicle accidents, rescue incidents, and hazardous materials emergencies throughout Paramus.
Rescue 9
Rescue 9 is a 1996 Saulsbury/Simon-Duplex Custom Rescue featuring an 8-person cab and a spacious body designed to carry specialized rescue equipment. As the department's dedicated heavy rescue apparatus, Rescue 9 supports a wide range of emergencies, including vehicle extrications, technical rescues, and complex incident operations. Its versatility and extensive equipment complement make it an invaluable resource for protecting the residents and businesses of Paramus.
Rescue 8
Rescue 8 is a 1998 GMC 3500 dual-wheel light rescue truck designed to provide rapid response and support for specialized operations. Built in-house by department members and purchased through the generous support of Paramus residents, the unit is equipped with rescue tools, a defibrillator, and towing capabilities for the department's trailers. Its compact size makes it ideal for responding to limited-access locations, FAST Team assignments, and serving as a backup to the department's frontline apparatus.
