The Paramus Fire Department is dedicated to protecting life, property, and the environment through rapid emergency response, fire prevention, and community education. Our History and Organization

The Paramus Fire Department has a long-standing tradition of service and community involvement. Built on the foundation of volunteerism, the department has grown alongside the borough, adapting to meet the needs of a busy and evolving community.

Today, the department consists of multiple fire companies strategically located throughout Paramus, allowing for quick response times across all districts. Each company is staffed by dedicated volunteer firefighters who bring specialized skills, experience, and strong community ties to their work.

Through strong leadership and coordination, the department operates as one unified team—ensuring efficient response and seamless collaboration during emergencies.

Community and Prevention
