Company 1
Paramus Fire Company 1 traces its roots to the early development of organized fire protection in Paramus and has proudly served the borough for over a century. Formed as one of the original volunteer fire companies in town, Company 1 played a key role in protecting the community as Paramus transformed from a rural farming area into a major residential and commercial hub. Throughout its history, the company has remained committed to the volunteer tradition, providing firefighting, rescue services, and community support while upholding a legacy of service, dedication, and pride
Engine 1
Engine 1 is a modern front-line pumper serving Company 1, built to support rapid fire suppression and emergency response operations. The apparatus features a seating capacity for a full crew (8 firefighters) and carries an onboard 750 Gallon water tank with substantial capacity to allow for immediate attack upon arrival.
Truck 1
Truck 1 is Company 1’s primary aerial ladder apparatus, designed for specialized operations such as ventilation and elevated master streams. The truck is built with a seating capacity of 10 firefighters and features a 100’ turntable-mounted aerial ladder to provide access to upper floors and rooftops.
Engine 11
Engine 11 is a 1991 Seagrave pumper serving the Paramus Fire Department. Equipped with a 1,750 GPM pump and a 500-gallon water tank, it provides reliable fire suppression capabilities and has proudly served the community for decades, responding to structure fires, vehicle fires, and other emergencies.
