Company 3
Paramus Fire Company 3 is a dedicated volunteer fire company with a long history of serving the Borough of Paramus. Formed as the community expanded, Company 3 has played an important role in fire protection and emergency response while continuing a tradition of service, pride, and commitment to the residents of Paramus.
Engine 3
Engine 3 is a 2018 Emergency One pumper built to handle the demands of modern firefighting. Featuring a 2,000 GPM pump, a 750-gallon water tank, and a 30-gallon foam tank, the apparatus provides Company 3 with a powerful and versatile response platform for structure fires, vehicle fires, and other emergencies throughout Paramus. Its advanced design and capabilities make it a key asset in protecting the community.
Foam 3
Foam 3 is a 1985 Ford C/Saulsbury foam unit and is the oldest active apparatus in the Paramus Fire Department, excluding the department's antique apparatus. Equipped with a 1,000 GPM pump, a 500-gallon water tank, 250 gallons of foam concentrate, and 500 pounds of dry chemical agent, Foam 3 is specially designed to handle fuel fires, hazardous materials incidents, and other high-risk emergencies. Its unique capabilities make it a valuable resource for protecting Paramus' many commercial properties and major transportation corridors.
Special Operations Unit
Special Operations Unit is a 1991 Simon-Duplex/Saulsbury apparatus that began its service with the Paramus Rescue Squad before being repurposed to support the Paramus Fire Department's Special Operations Team. Equipped with a 250-gallon water tank for hazardous materials decontamination operations, the unit supports a variety of specialized incidents. Its unique history and mission make it an important resource for the department's specialized response capabilities.
